Rams face tough challenge against unbeaten Ravens

TORONTO – The No. 6 Ryerson Rams men's soccer team is back at home this weekend as they face off against the undefeated No. 2 Carleton Ravens in a Top Ten clash.

The visiting Ravens come to Downsview Park with a perfect 10-0 record seeking to maintain their winning season and the top spot in the OUA. The last time the Ravens came to Downsview in 2018, the match ended in a 0-0 draw. The Rams will look to improve that stat and get an important win in the process.

Coming off of a victorious weekend the Rams are in high spirits going into Saturday, having boosted their record to 8-1-2. The Rams were an offensive powerhouse last weekend in their 2-1 win against Nipissing and 3-0 win against Laurentian. They outshot Nipissing 8-2 and Laurentian 11-0. If they can continue making stellar plays and capitalizing on chances, they will have a much easier time on Saturday.

The Ravens pose a tough challenge, however, as they are the only team in Canada to keep a perfect record this season. Allowing only two goals in 10 games, the Rams will have their work cut out for them in getting to the back of the net.

With playoff rankings on the line and an upcoming away game at Carleton, this win is much needed for Ryerson, who have the chance to end the Ravens unbeaten streak.

Kickoff is at 3:15 p.m. ET on Saturday at Downsview Park.
