HAMILTON — For the second-straight day, the Ryerson Rams men's volleyball team brought their Forsyth Cup match to five sets, and for the second-straight day, the Rams were unable to come away with the win (22-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-22, 10-15).
The teams traded set-for-set before Windsor took the tiebreaker 15-10.
A win in the bronze medal match would have sent the Rams to next weekend's U SPORTS Final 8 Championship.
The loss ends the Rams season and also signifies the end of the careers of a handful of graduating seniors: Lucas Coleman (Brooklin, Ont.), Adam Anagnostopoulos (Waterloo, Ont.), Brendan Kewin (Milton, Ont.), and Brett Whitley (Brighton, Ont.).
Coleman finishes his career as the 2017-18 OUA East Player of the Year, and has his name listed all over the program's record book. He sits second all-time in career points (1,180) and kills (1,011), and third all-time in service aces (94) and career hitting percentage (0.286).
Anagnostopoulos retires as the Rams all-time leader in assists (3,019) nearly 1,800 assists clear of second all-time. He also sits fifth in all-time digs (367).
Whitley sits fifth all-time in career assists (388), while Kewin's top accolade sees him fourth all-time in career hitting percentage (0.262).
