Kasy Kiarash joined the Rams men's soccer coaching staff in 2014.
Kiarash coached two seasons in the United States at Graceland University (NAIA) before returning to Toronto to coach with the Rams, spending two seasons as assistant coach before becoming the Lead Assistant Coach in 2016. As Kiarash enters his seventh season with Ryerson, he has also accumulated some notable experiences including MLS Performance Analysis experience with Orlando City S.C. He spent the 2019 preseason with Orlando City and then worked with the team as a Performance Analyst Intern during the 2019 MLS season as well as an opponent scout. Kiarash also has international experience as an Assistant Coach and Performance Analyst for the Sr. Guyana Women’s National team in CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers in 2018 and 2020. Most recently Kiarash joined Toronto FC Academy as part time Performance Analyst while continuing to coach with the Rams.
Off the field, Kiarash proposed and founded the Vivian Risi, Royal Lepage $100,000 Sponsorship for Ryerson men’s soccer which contributes to community building, scholarships, and enhancing the student experience fund. Kiarash also started the Ryerson Men’s Soccer March break and summer camp programs and created and implemented the Rams Spirit Wear store at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. Finally, Kiarash leads the Vivian Risi Royal Lepage Community Soccer Clinic each year where the Rams men’s soccer team connects with local neighborhoods to educate youth on the opportunities availabe through linking sport and higher education.
As an athlete, Kiarash won a gold medal at the Canada Summer Games in 2005 as a member of Team Ontario. Shortly after, he attended York University for two seasons before leaving for Brussels, Belgium in 2008 to play for Woluve Zaventem in the Belgian third division. In 2009, Kiarash came back to Canada and was scouted for a soccer scholarship to Graceland University in Lamoni Iowa, where he received a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Physical Education and Health. Kiarash went on to play professionally for Kitsap Pumas (PDL Pro) in Kitsap Washington.
