Julie Gordon

Julie Gordon was named the Lead Assistant Coach for the TMU Bold women's volleyball team in 2024. Gordon brings a wealth of experience from both indoor and beach volleyball, having represented Team Canada for eight years, winning two FIVB World Tour golds, three NORCECA golds, and being crowned a Canadian National Champion.

She also had an impressive university career, earning MVP, OUA All-Star, Academic All-Canadian, and Rookie of the Year honours as a member of the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks and Guelph Gryphons.

After a 12-year hiatus from indoor volleyball, she returned to the indoor court in 2023-24 season as a player and helped the Bold reach the OUA Semi-Finals.

Gordon was an assistant coach for the Phoenix Legacy in 2023 and helped lead them to a provincial and national championship. Prior to her stint with the Legacy, she served two seasons as the Lead Assistant Coach for the George Brown Huskies Men’s Volleyball Team.

Gordon is passionate about women’s sports and athlete rights. She is the former Co-Chair of the Canadian Sport Institute of Ontario and the former Athlete Representative for the Canadian Olympic Committee’s Game Plan program.
