Dustin Reid enters his 18th year as head coach of the TMU Bold women's volleyball program in 2024-25.
In 2019-20, Reid and his team were a fixture in the U SPORTS top five nationally-ranked squads while finishing with a 16-3 record.
Reid was awarded OUA East Coach of the Year for a second consecutive season after TMU posted a 17-2 regular season record in 2018-19. Reid would lead the team to their second straight appearance in the national final, earning a silver medal after yet another dominant season.
In 2017-18, Reid guided TMU to a perfect 25-0 record in the regular season and playoffs. TMU dominated their way through the OUA playoffs and fought their way to the top of U SPORTS, winning the school's first-ever national championship in any sport. Reid was named OUA and U SPORTS Coach of the Year after leading his team through a historic season.
Reid took on double duty in 2015-16, coaching both the women's and men's programs at TMU. He took both to the OUA Final Four championships where both teams earned the silver medal.
The OUA Coach of the Year in 2009-10, Reid has transformed the women's program into an annual contender. In 2012-13 the women set a program best for wins in a season and qualified for the Final Four for just the second time ever.
A former Canadian national team player, Reid represented Canada in more than 120 international matches including two World Cups, the 1994 World Championship, and two Olympic qualification attempts (1996 and 2000). He also played professionally for four years in Germany and Switzerland after playing one season with the University of Toronto.
Prior to joining the TMU program Reid served as the Technical Director for the Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) for four years. He also coached professionally in Switzerland, winning four national championships.
