Céline Frappier

Céline Frappier joined the Bold as Lead Assistant Coach prior to the 2024-25 season.

A proven winner and leader, Frappier was victorious at every stop during her playing career which included stints with the Team Canada U Sports FISU Team in 2023, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues from 2020 to 2023, Mercyhurst University NCAA Division 1 from 2016 to 2020, Team Canada U18 World Championship Team in 2015-16, Team Ontario U18 National Championship Team in 2015-16, and the Toronto Jr Aeros PWHL from 2014 to 2016.

Frappier was the captain for the Toronto Jr Aeros winning both the PWHL and OWHA Provincial Championships in 2015-2016. She Captained Team Ontario Blue to a Bronze Medal at the U18 National Championship while also being named the tournaments Most Sportsmanlike player. Céline also represented Canada at the 2016 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship earning a silver medal for her country. 

The Tecumseh, Ont. native helped the Mercyhurst Lakers earn NCAA Division I CHA championship titles in 2017-18 and 2019-20. She then returned to her home country where she suited up for the Toronto Varsity Blues and took on a leadership role as the team's assistant captain. With the Varsity Blues, Céline was named an OUA East All-Star in 2021-22 and the McCaw Cup MVP in 2022-23 after scoring the McCaw Cup championship-clinching goal.

Frappier represented Team Canada at the 2023 FISU Winter World University Games. She was the alternate captain helping Canada go undefeated in the tournament and took home the gold medal.

In addition to her extensive hockey background, Céline holds a Master of Social Work, with a specialization in Health and Mental Health, a Master of Education in Student Development and Student Services, and a Bachelor of Social Work. She was an Academic All-Canadian all throughout her years as a student athlete at UofT and was on the Dean's List at Mercyhurst the last two years in 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 for her outstanding academic achievement.
