Christopher Thomas has excelled in numerous coaching and board positions at the club, high school and university level throughout Ontario and brings this diverse management and leadership experience with him. His playing career spans 16 years and counting and includes seasons and tours with the Bytown Blues, Balmy Beach, and Canadian Irregular 7s, among others. He also played four years at the University of Ottawa, captaining them to an undefeated season in 2016, and travelled internationally, playing in Dubai, New York, Rotterdam, as well as throughout Canada.

Thomas assumed the role of head coach at TMU in 2024 and aims to advance the forward progression and development of the teams and athletes. And by extension advance rugby in the GTA, so that athletes may access higher level pathways and promote the sport at the grassroots level.
