Albert Dell'Apa

After spending the 2016-17 season as the cross country team's assistant coach, Albert Dell'Apa took over as the second head coach in Rams program history in 2017-18. He was also the head coach of the Rams track and field team until handing the reins over to Stephen Walter for the 2019-20 season.

For more than 20 years, Dell'Apa has been coaching runners at all skill levels, from recreational runners to Boston marathon qualifiers and beyond. He is an NCCP coach/Registered Professional Coach with the Coaching Association of Canada and is the founder/coach of Raging Bull Road Runners in Toronto. Dell’Apa was previously a Board member with Athletics Ontario and chair of the Risk Management Committee during that time. Dell'Apa is a frequent guest speaker at corporate running events and invited contributor to running blogs and magazines.

Dell'Apa is a two-time U SPORTS (CIS) All-Canadian and three-time OUA all-star for cross country running, having competed for both the University of Ottawa and York University. Dell’Apa was a two-time MVP of the York University cross country team and was also a bronze medalist for the OUA indoor 3000m while running track at York. 

Albert was a member of several Canadian championship gold medal winning cross country and road racing teams at both the university and open level and was formerly the 7th ranked marathon runner in Canada with a 2:24 marathon PB.
