TORONTO - The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold women's volleyball team couldn't find consistency on Saturday night, dropping a 3-1 decision to the York Lions.

The Lions got off to an early lead in the first set, but at 20 points, TMU fought back from a seven-point deficit to overtake York 26-24. 

The second set saw strong blocks from Ashley Ditchfield and Bethany Smith while the Bold attempted to get ahead, but the Lions kept applying pressure. Despite a tight set, York managed to tie the score up going into the third.

TMU opened the third in a 5-0 run and led throughout most of the set, but the team's service and ball handling errors kept the lead within reach of the Lions. 

York made a comeback late in the third to overtake the Bold 27-25, and maintained a consistent lead in the fourth set to win the match.

Despite the loss, Katelyn Grasman led the team in points (15.5) and kills (14). 

The Bold will play the Windsor Lancers next Sunday on the road, before returning to the Mattamy Athletic Centre the following Friday for their last regular season game ahead of playoffs.
