TORONTO – The Ryerson Rams men's hockey team is pleased to announce their second commitment for the upcoming 2020-21 season in Kyle Bollers.
An Oshawa, Ont. native, Bollers joins the Rams after a league-leading season in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) in 2019-20.
Bollers spent the past season with the Brantford 99ers and finished tied for first in OJHL scoring with 86 points, including 39 goals, in 52 regular season games. He was named an OJHL First-Team All-Star and was the Fan Favourite award recipient.
Bollers joined the 99ers after three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), having played 168 major junior games between the Oshawa Generals and Saginaw Spirit.
Eager to join the Rams competitive squad, Bollers self-describes as "a hardworking and determined athlete that sets high goals and standards for myself (and) a leader and team player".Â
The newest Ram is still deciding between the RTA: Sport Media and Business Management programs when he starts this September.
"In my opinion after my visit and my research, Ryerson has the best hockey program that will continue to develop my hockey career to help me achieve my goal to play pro one day. In addition, the academic program and academic support will help me be successful in my future."
The Rams now have a pair of recruits signed for the upcoming season. Stay tuned to ryersonrams.ca for more information throughout the summer.
